Join an opportunity to make a difference to wildlife in South Africa. Prospective Conservationists, animal lovers, and nature enthusiasts have a chance to be an integral part of the conservation of Africa’s iconic Big Five! The program is demanding and pushes volunteers both physically and mentally, in order to achieve the goals of the program.
Upon the completion of a 2-day orientation in Cape Town, volunteers will be brought to the project by shuttle. Volunteers can look forward to learning new skills, getting to know the environment and learning about conservation. Participants will be a major part of the efforts of returning the environment to its original state.
Participate in research projects, observe the wildlife that live in the part, collect data and help compile the daily and monthly reports. In addition, you’ll receive training in all areas you participate in. Get ready to get physical and help with erosion control, alien plant clearing and so much more. All of these efforts will help to create a self-sustaining, functioning eco-system.
Bring your camera! Of course, you’ll create a lifetime of memories while at the program, but you’ll definitely want to have some photos to show your family and friends when you get home!
